Cloudy skies, rain expected as ITCZ prevails over Southern Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over the Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, Visayas, and Mindanao, PAGASA said Thursday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to scattered moderate to, at times, heavy rains.

ITCZ and localized thunderstorms may also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Flash floods and landslides are also possible during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, PAGASA's synoptic station at the Science Garden, Quezon City recorded a minimum temperature of 25.8°C at 6 a.m. and a maximum temperature of 34.4°C at 1:50 p.m. — Joahna Lei Casilao/BM, GMA News
