Ambulong, Tanauan City records day’s highest heat index at 54°C
PAGASA’s synoptic station in Ambulong in Tanauan City recorded the highest heat index in the country on Tuesday afternoon at 54°C.
According to the weather bureau, this was followed by Dagupan City with 49°C, Science City of Muñoz and Sangley Point in Cavite City with 46°C and Tuguegarao City with 45°C.

PAGASA warned anew that a heat index ranging from 41°C to 54°C may lead to heat cramps and exhaustion. Heat stroke is also possible amid continuous physical activity.
Meanwhile, the PAGASA station at the Science Garden in Quezon City reported a heat index of 42°C at 2 p.m.
