Dagupan City again reports day’s highest heat index at 49°C
Dagupan City in Pangasinan on Monday again recorded the day’s highest heat index or human-perceived temperature, at 49°C, according to PAGASA.
The weather bureau said this was followed by Ambulong in Tanauan City, Butuan City and Sangley Point in Cavite City, which all experienced 46°C each.
The Science City of Muñoz in Nueva Ecija, meanwhile, recorded 45°C.

On Sunday, Dagupan City also sizzled with a heat index of 49°C
PAGASA reiterated that a heat index ranging from 41°C to 54°C may lead to heat cramps and exhaustion.
Heat stroke is also possible amid continuous physical activity, it added.
Meanwhile, the PAGASA station at the Science Garden in Quezon City recorded a heat index of 40°C at 11 a.m.
