Easterlies to bring isolated rainshowers across the Philippines —PAGASA

Easterlies, warm winds from the Pacific Ocean, and localized thunderstorms are expected to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers over Metro Manila and the rest of the country, PAGASA said Thursday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather bureau cautioned against possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

At 3 p.m. on Thursday, a low-pressure area being monitored by PAGASA was estimated at 555 kilometers east southeast of Davao City.

Despite this, no gale warning was raised over any part of the country.

Meanwhile, the temperature in Metro Manila dropped to 22.2°C at 6:20 a.m. and peaked at 34.8°C at 1 p.m. —Joahna Lei Casilao/LDF, GMA News
