Easterlies to bring isolated rainshowers across the Philippines

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers is expected over Metro Manila and the rest of the country on Saturday  brought about by warm winds from the Pacific Ocean or easterlies, PAGASA said Friday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency cautioned residents against possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

PAGASA said there were no gale warnings issued over the country.

Meanwhile,  the temperature in Metro Manila dropped to 24.6°C at 5 a.m. and peaked at 33.0°C at 3 p.m.

The weather agency earlier released a statement announcing the end of the northeast monsoon and the beginning of the dry season. —Joahna Lei Casilao/LDF, GMA News
