Easterlies to bring rainshowers, thunderstorms across the Philippines

Warm wind from the Pacific Ocean called the easterlies is expected to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country on Friday, PAGASA said Thursday.

In its 24-hour forecast, the weather agency warned against possible flash floods during severe thunderstorms.

Gale warnings are raised over Batanes, Babuyan, Calayan, the northern coast of Ilocos Norte, and the northern coast of Cagayan due to moderate to rough sea conditions.

PAGASA warned fishing boats and other small vessels against big waves.
