Batangas, Cavite, Laguna to have cloudy skies, isolated rains due to Taal activity
The provinces of Batangas, Cavite and Laguna will have cloudy skies with isolated rains and thunderstorms on Monday due to Taal Volcano's eruption, PAGASA said in its early morning forecast.
The weather bureau warned of possible reduced visibility and mudflow during ash fall and light to moderate rains.
Meanwhile, the trough or extension of a low pressure area (LPA) is affecting Caraga and Eastern Visayas.
These areas will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may occur due to the rains which may become heavy at times.
As of 3 a.m., the LPA was located at 735 km east southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur.
The tail end of a cold front meanwhile is affecting Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region and Aurora.
These areas will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may occur due to the rains which may at times become heavy.
The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the Ilocos Region. Intermittent strong winds may possibly prevail especially in coastal and mountainous areas.
Meanwhile, the rest of the country including Metro Manila will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.
Coastal waters will be moderate to rough over the seaboards of Luzon and the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao.
For the rest of the country, coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
