Metro Manila will have cloudy skies, isolated light rains due to northeast monsoon


The northeast monsoon will continue to affect Luzon on Saturday, PAGASA reported in in its early morning forecast.

Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora and Quezon will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon. There may also be occasional strong winds especially in coastal and mountainous areas.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon.

Visayas and Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorm and there is a possibility that flash floods or landslides will occur during severe thunderstorms.

The forecast wind speed for northern Luzon is moderate to strong moving northeast while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The forecast wind speed for the rest of the country is light to moderate moving northeastward while coastal waters will remain light to moderate.

Meanwhile, PAGASA is monitoring a low pressure area still outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) but is expected to enter PAR anytime on Saturday.

As of 4 a.m., the LPA was located 1,260 km east of Mindanao.
