ITCZ to bring cloudy skies, scattered rains to Mindanao
The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will be affecting Mindanao while the Tail-End of a Cold Front (TECF) will be affecting southern Luzon and eastern Visayas, PAGASA reported inj its early morning forecast.
Mindanao will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ as the weather bureau warned flash floods or landslides may occur in high risk areas.
Bicol Region, Marinduque, Romblon, Oriental Mindoro and Samar Provinces will have cloudy skies with scattered rains brought about by the TECF as there may be intermittent gusts especially in mountainous and coastal areas.
Palawan and the rest of Visayas Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers brought about by localized thunderstorms. PAGASA warned the residents in these areas that isolated flash floods or landslides in high risk areas during severe thunderstorms
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon and intermittent gusts especially in mountainous and coastal areas may occur.
The forecast wind speed for northern section of northern Luzon is strong and moving east to northeast while coastal waters will be rough.
In the eastern section of Luzon and the eastern section of Visayas, the forecast wind speed is strong and moving northeast will coastal waters will be rough.
The rest of the country, the forecast wind speed is moderate to strong and moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough. — BAP, GMA News
