Ursula to exit PAR; Tail End of a Cold Front to bring rains to CAR, Cagayan Valley, Aurora
Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley and Aurora will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and isolated thunderstorm due to the Tail end of a Cold Front, PAGASa reported in its early morning weather forecast.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers brought about by localized thunderstorm.
PAGASA also advised the residents in these areas that flash floods and landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.
As of 3 a.m.on Thursday, the center of Tropical Storm Ursula (Interntional name: Phanfone)was estimated at 520 kilometers west of Subic, Zambales with maximum sustained winds of 70 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 90 kph.
Ursula is moving west southwest slowly.
Ursula is no longer directly affecting the country. However, the Tail-End of a Cold Front will be affecting northern Luzon.
Sea travel is risky, especially for small seacrafts, over the seaboards of Northern Luzon due to rough seas caused by the surge of the Northeast Monsoon.
Ursula is also forecast to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Saturday morning.
The forecast wind speed in Northern Luzon moderate to strong and moving northeast while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
The western section of Central Luzon will have moderate to strong wind speed moving east to northeast while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
The rest of the country will have a wind speed light to moderate moving east to northeast while coastal waters will be slight to moderate. — BAP, GMA News
