Occasional heavy rains over Cagayan, Isabela, Bicol region as Ramon remains stationary
State weather bureau PAGASA reported that light to moderate with intermittent heavy rains may be experienced over the eastern portions of Cagayan and Isabela, Bicol region and Samar provinces over the weekend as Tropical Storm Ramon remains stationary.
In its 11 p.m. Severe Weather Bulletin, PAGASA reminded residents in Cagayan and Isabela to expect occasional heavy rains on Sunday.
Those living in areas identified to be highly or very highly susceptible to flooding and rain-induced landslides, are advised to take precautionary measures, coordinate with local disaster risk reduction and management offices, and continue monitoring for updates, PAGASA added.
At 10:00 p.m. Friday, the center of the tropical storm was estimated based on all available data at 430 km East Northeast of Casiguran, Aurora (17.0 °N, 126.1 °E ).
It is moving almost stationary with a maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph. —LDF, GMA News
