LPA off Eastern Samar enters PAR —PAGASA


The low-pressure area PAGASA has been monitoring entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility early Monday morning.

In an advisory, PAGASA said that at about 3 a.m. Monday, the LPA was estimated at 770 km East of Guiuan, Eastern Samar.

It said the weather system will possibly develop into a cyclone –to be named "Jenny" –within the next 24 to 36 hours.

Meanwhile, the Southwest Monsoon is affecting Southern Luzon and the Visayas, which will experience scattered rains and thunderstorms.

On the other hand, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Visayas, CARAGA Region, Northern Mindanao and Zamboanga Peninsula  will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms. —LBG, GMA News
