LPA to enter PAR by Sunday —PAGASA

The low-pressure area spotted East of Mindanao is expected to enter the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) by Sunday, according to state weather bureau PAGASA.

PAGASA weather forecaster Joey Figuracion told GMA TV's Balitanghali that the LPA was 1,140 kilometers East of Mindanao as of Saturday afternoon.

Its trough, however, continues to affect Mindanao, Figuracion added.

Other parts of the country including Metro Manila may also experience rains due to localized thunderstorms, he said. —Margaret Claire Layug/LBG, GMA News
