Habagat starts to prevail in western Luzon

The southwest monsoon or Habagat has started to prevail in the western section of Luzon, according to GMA resident meteorologist Nathaniel "Mang Tani" Cruz on Tuesday.

In a weather forecast on GMA's 24 Oras, the wind map of MetraWeather showed that Habagat affects the Ilocos region, Central Luzon, and Palawan.

"Magtutuloy-tuloy 'yan mga Kapuso hanggang sa mga susunod na araw o ngayong linggo kaya manatili po tayong IM Ready sa mas madalas pang pag-ulan sa mga susunod na araw," Mang Tani said.

Metro Manila will likely have cloudy skies and rain on Wednesday afternoon and evening.

Scattered rain in the afternoon may also be experienced in the regions of Cordillera, Ilocos, and Central Luzon.

In the Visayas, downpours are likely in the morning. Panay Island and the Negros provinces may also have rain in the afternoon.

Soccsksargen and Davao in Mindanao may likewise have rain in the afternoon.

Residents of Northern Mindanao, on the other hand, may expect rain throughout Wednesday. — Dona Magsino/BM, GMA News
