Easterlies to affect Southern Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao


The easterlies will be affecting southern Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao on Thursday, PAGASA reported in its early morning forecast.

With this weather system, Palawan, the Visayas, and Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms and possible flash floods during severe thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers brought about by localized thunderstorms. The weather bureau warned that flash floods may occur during severe thunderstorms.

The forecast wind speed for northern Luzon and the eastern sections of central and southern Luzon and the Visayas will be moderate moving east to southeast while coastal water condition is moderate.

The eastern section of Mindanao will have wind speed of moderate moving eastward while coastal waters will remain moderate.

The rest of the country will have light to moderate wind speed moving east to southeast direction while coastal waters will remain slight to moderate. — BAP, GMA News
