Magnitude 5.5 earthquake hits Pangasinan

A magnitude-5.5 earthquake hit Aguilar, Pangasinan on Wednesday, according to the Philippine Institue of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
The earthquake, which was tectonic in origin, occurred at 06:25 p.m.
Its epicenter was located six kilometers southeast of Aguilar town. Its depth was 137 kilometers.
Intensity V was recorded in Villasis, Pangasinan.
Intensity IV was felt in Baguio City.
Intensity II, on the other hand, was present in Subic, Zambales; Pasay City; Manila City; Mandaluyong City; and Quezon City.
Major damages are not expected but aftershocks are possible, Phivolcs said. —NB, GMA News
