Amang weakens into LPA
Tropical Depression Amang has withered into a low pressure area (LPA), PAGASA said in its 8 p.m. weather bulletin.
All tropical cyclones have been lifted, even as light to moderate rains are expected over Catanduanes, Camarines Sur, Albay, Sorsogon and Northern Samar within the next 24 hours due to this weather disturbance, along with the tail-end of a cold front.
PAGASA warned that these areas may still experience periods of heavy rainfall.
"Residents of these areas, especially those living in areas at high risk of flooding and landslides, are still advised to take appropriate actions, coordinate with local disaster risk reduction and management offices, and continue monitoring for updates," the state weather bureau said.
Fisherfolks and those with small seacrafts are still advised not to venture out over the seaboards of Northern Luzon and the eastern seaboards of Central Luzon, Southern Luzon, and Visayas due to the surge of Northeast Monsoon, PAGASA added. —LDF, GMA News
