TD Amang accelerates slightly, moves closer to Caraga region
Tropical Depression Amang moved faster as it got closer to Caraga region in northern Mindanao, state weather agency PAGASA said Sunday.
In its 11 a.m. weather bulletin, PAGASA also said that moderate to heavy rains will prevail over Caraga, Eastern Visayas, Davao Oriental, Compostela Valley, Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate, Northern Negros Provinces, Northern Cebu, and Bohol.
At 10 a.m., Amang's center was estimated at 165 km east-northeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur or 280 km east-southeast of Surigao City, Surigao.
Amang had maximum sustained winds of 45 kph near the center, which could gust up to 60 kph. It moved on its west-northwest track at 30 kph.

TCWS 1 may be raised this afternoon or early evening over northern Samar.
