Red rainfall warning up over Zambales, Bataan


Torrential rainfall was forecast by PAGASA over Zambales and Bataan on Sunday afternoon as it raised the red rainfall warning signal at 1 p.m.

Under the red rainfall warning, more than 30 millimeters per hour of rainfall has been recorded or will occur. It is also raised when rainfall which has been continuous for the past three hours has reached more than 65 mm.

PAGASA said these areas will most likely experience severe flooding.

Residents were advised to take the necessary precautions. 

Meanwhile, the orange rainfall warning was hoisted over Metro Manila, Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal. 

These areas will have intense rainfall of 15 to 30 mm or has had continuous rainfall for the past three hours measuring 45-65 mm.

Flooding is threatening in these areas.

The yellow warning, on the other hand, has been raised over Bulacan.

Heavy rainfall measuring 7.5 to 15 mm in these areas is expected and may continue for the next three hours.

Flooding is possible in these areas. —KG, GMA News
