LPA spotted near Surigao del Sur


A Low Pressure Area (LPA) was spotted 355 kilometers southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del sur early Thursday morning, the state weather bureau reported.

The PAGASA reported that the LPA is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered to widespread rains and thunderstorms in Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Zamboanga Peninsula, and the Davao Region.

Meanwhile, ARMM, SOCCSKSARGEN, Central and Eastern Visayas will have cloudy skies, scattered rains and thunderstorms.

The regions of Ilocos, Cordillera, and Cagayan Valley will be partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon.

Localized thunderstorms will affect Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and the Visayas region that these areas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers.

The coastal waters in extreme northern Luzon and the eastern section of Visayas will be moderate to occasionally rough as well as the eastern section of Mindanao.

Coastal waters in the rest of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will be slight to moderate. — BAP, GMA News
