'Maring' crosses West PHL Sea; all storm signals lifted
Tropical Storm Maring (international name Doksuri) maintained its strength as it crossed the West Philippine Sea early Wednesday.
Weather bureau PAGASA said that as of 4 a.m., Marin's center was estimated at 270 kilometers west of Iba, Zambales.
It was packing maximum sustained winds of 75 kilometers per hour and gusts of up to 90 kph.
PAGASA said the storm was moving west northwest at a speed of 15 kph and is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by tonight or Thursday morning.
The weather bureau, meanwhile, said it has lifted all tropical cyclone warning signals in Luzon.
However, light to moderate with occasionally heavy rains will still be experienced in Bataan, Zambales and Batangas.
"Residents in these areas are alerted against possible landslide and flash floods," PAGASA said.
The weather bureau said sea travel is still risky in the western seaboard of Central Luzon and Southern Luzon, including in waters off Zambales, Bataan, Metro Manila, Cavite, Occidental Mindoro and Batangas and Palawan. —ALG, GMA News
