Rains expected over Metro Manila
The southwest monsoon will be affecting the western section of Luzon and Visayas, the PAGASA reported in its early Friday morning forecast.
The weather bureau also reported that the eye of Typhoon Noru is located 1,370 kilometers northeast of extreme northern Luzon with maximum sustained winds of 160 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 195 kph.
As of 3 a.m., "Noru" was monitored to be moving westward at a speed of 15 kph.
With these weather systems, Metro Manila, and the provinces of Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Mindoro, and Palawan to have cloudy skies with light to moderate rains due to Southwest Monsoon and possible occasionally heavy rains and gusty winds due to thunderstorms
Moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the southwest will prevail over the northern and western section of Luzon and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to occasionally rough.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the south to southwest with slight to moderate seas. — BAP, GMA News
