Better weather this Tuesday; PAGASA monitoring typhoon outside PAR
With the departure of cyclones Huaning and Gorio from the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by Monday, July 31, the country can expect improved weather this Tuesday as the Habagat southwest monsoon reverts to its unenhanced state.
Although neither cyclone directly affected the Philippine mainland, both disturbances pulled at the monsoon which, in turn, brought heavy rain to most of Luzon and Visayas late last week.
The unenhanced Habagat monsoon will bring cloudy skies and up to moderate rains and thunderstorms to Ilocos, the Cordilleras, Zambales, and Bataan this Tuesday, according to PAGASA.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms are expected in Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
Meanwhile, PAGASA is monitoring a tropical cyclone outside the northeast boundary of the PAR. Carrying the international name "Noru," it has no effect on the country and current forecasts don't see it entering the PAR as yet.
Nevertheless, state weather forecasters will be keeping an eye on Noru in the days to come.
