Tropical Storm Dante won't affect PHL –PAGASA

A tropical cyclone approaching the Philippines will not have any direct affect on the country, PAGASA assured in a televised news conference on Tuesday afternoon, April 25.

The tropical depression (TD) is forecast to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) late Tuesday and intensify into a tropical storm (TS) before the weekend.

It will be given the local name "Dante" as it crosses into the PAR.

However, Dante is expected to change direction, moving northwest before it reaches the country.

Forecasters assure that Dante will have no direct affect on the Philippines, but the entire country may expect the usual occasional rainshowers and thunderstorms through the week. — GMA News
