Cyclone signals lifted as ‘Crising’ weakens into LPA, makes landfall in Samar

Tropical Depression "Crising" has weakened into a low pressure area (LPA) after making landfall in Samar province, prompting state weather forecasters to lift all cyclone warning signals.

In its final weather bulletin on Crising, Pagasa said the LPA was estimated to be in the vicinity of Basey, Samar as of 7 p.m.

"With this development and unless re-intensification occurs, this is the final bulletin for this weather disturbance," Pagasa said.

Pagasa said the next update on the LPA will be incorporated in the 24-hour public weather forecast to be issued at 5 a.m. Sunday.

Light to moderate rains is still expected over Visayas and the regions of Bicol and Caraga, Pagasa added. — MDM, GMA News
