Typhoon Gener maintains strength
Typhoon Gener has maintained its strength as it continues to move west-northwest over the Philippine seas.
In its 11 a.m. bulletin, weather agency PAGASA said the eye of the typhoon was located 735 km east of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.
PAGASA said Gener was packing maximum sustained winds of up to 130 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 160 kph. Gener continues to move west northwest at 23 kph.
PAGASA said estimated rainfall amount is from moderate to heavy within the 400 km diameter of the typhoon.
No tropical cyclone warning signals are raised.
Gener is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Sunday morning.
