Koronadal has the highest level of air pollution due to Indonesian haze —DENR-EMB




Koronadal, South Cotabato has the most solid particles in their air, caused by the haze from Indonesia, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources - Environmental Management Bureau (DENR-EMB) said, according to a report on GMA’s News TV Live on Monday.
 
As of Saturday, based on data from air monitoring stations, Koronadal has the most solid particles at 89 micrograms per normal cubic meter.

Cebu, Davao, and Bacolod also have higher than normal readings, exceeding the normal measure of 75 micrograms per normal cubic meter.
 
According to the DENR-EMB, the air pollution caused by the haze can cause bronchitis, asthma, and even heart ailments.

They also added that the haze could reach Metro Manila, depending on the direction of the wind. —Bea Montenegro/KG, GMA News
