Instagram drops new fonts, text animations, more to help users personalize content

Instagram just introduced new options in its creative tools to help users express themselves and better customize their content online.

First up, new and unique fonts, text animations, and effects are now available for Instagram Stories and Reels. Users can access these creative features in a simplified text tool, which they can combine to personalize Reels and Stories.

To check these out, simply tap the text tool then the text button to access the latest fonts. Upon selecting a font, you may animate your text or add an effect to jazz up your content.

Moreover, text (including the new fonts) and layer images through stickers may now be added to photos and carousels. According to Instagram, these additions aim to give users the flexibility to create compelling content and experiment with new ways of storytelling through images.

The new text tool may be accessed by selecting an image from your photo gallery and then tapping the text button.

To layer images, users need only tap the gallery button in the top-right corner of their screen. The stickers may also be customized into various shapes.

Recently, Instagram has introduced other features to help users personalize their profiles more and expand their creative possibilities in creating content.

In the previous week, Instagram launched a new feature that allows users to add music on their profiles, which may feel like deja vu to ex-Myspace and Friendster users.

This new feature was made in collaboration with American singer-songwriter Sabrina Carpenter, who teased her new song, "Taste," by adding it on her Instagram profile.

To add music on your profile, simply tap "edit profile" from your account and browse among the licensed music available for your profile song.

Early this August, Instagram also increased the carousel limit to 20 photos and videos per post from the previous 10.
