New Apple store in Singapore is world's first to sit on water — reports
Is it safe to say Apple is trying to do a Jesus?
Because the third and newest Apple store in Singapore will be, ehem, sitting on water, in Marina Bay Sands to be specific.
According to Straits Times, an Apple spokesperson confirmed the news, saying, "Apple Marina Bay Sands is coming soon to Singapore, celebrating the first Apple store in the world that sits on the water."
"As with every Apple store around the world, Apple Marina Bay Sands will bring the best of Apple to our customers, at an iconic location in Singapore. We can't wait to see you soon," it continued.
Channel News Asia reports "that the space used to house the Avalon club from 2011 to 2016, which took up a massive 17,000 sq ft area."
On the Apple website is an animation showing the famous Apple logo looking as though it was sitting on water.
Beneath it, the tech giant said the much-awaited store "will be at the heart of creativity, a place we’ve made for you to capture your ideas and passions. It will be a space for you to explore, connect and create something new."
And beneath that is a short video promising the same.
Apple opened its first Singapore store on Orchard Road in 2017. Its second store opened two years later, in 2019, at the beautiful Jewel Changi airport.
As to when the third store will open, Apple could only say, "soon." — LA, GMA News
