Have you heard of 'Seeing AI' yet? It's an app that allows visually impaired, blind to 'see' the world
Technology is really going beyond expectations.
Check out "Seeing AI." It's an app developed by Microsoft that allows people who have visual impairment to "see" the world through an audio experience.
Available on the Apple store, the free app allows users to take any photo and have it describe it for you through audio.
It can describe almost anything — from the text or document in front of you, to the colors of your surroundings, to even the emotion and age of the person beside you.
The app was broadly released back in 2017, and continues to affect lives to this day.
During a press tour at Microsoft Asia's HQ in Singapore, Director of Philanthropies Dr. Daiana Beitler talked about the app and said, "By making technology accessible you make it better for everyone...For all our accessibility features, it's not just people with disabilities, it just makes technology better for everyone."
The app even gives audio beeps to help locate barcodes and scans them so you know what's the product in front of you. It can identify currencies and read handwritten text.
