Araneta City just rebranded and this is our favorite thing about it

By now, we’ve all heard about Araneta Center rebranding to become Araneta City, and with it, all the bells and whistles: a new name, a new logo, calling itself the "City of Firsts," technological advancements like WiFi from both telecom providers, green initiatives, and more new buildings rising.

Among everything though, what we can’t get over is…the app.

Araneta City’s app is, in one word, useful. We'd even dare say it's among the most useful apps we’ve downloaded this year.

Of course, it has the expected listing of all shops and restaurants located in the complex, as well as a list of government services you can find in Araneta City — NBI for clearance? It's there. DFA for passport renewal? They have it, too.

But taking the all-important next step in providing service, is the inclusion of things like parking and transportation.

Users will find the five icons representing the main sections at the bottom of the page: transport, tickets, explore, movies, and inquiry.

Clicking the transport icon will bring you to a digital transport hub that promises to help guests locate taxi bays, jeepney terminals, e-shuttles, P2P, UV Express, and train stations within the complex.

Even more important, IMHO, are a (1) live feed of available parking within Araneta City, and (2) the busport that won’t just help you locate the bus terminals, but actually allow you to book bus tickets, as well.

Speaking of booking tickets, the app also allows you to book tickets to movies in the myriad of cinemas within Araneta City as well as tickets to concerts and shows happening either at Araneta Coliseum or New Frontier Theater. Download it here. — LA, GMA News
