Meet Ed, the newest addition to Street Fighter V
Street Fighter fans who have been looking forward to new content for “Street Fighter V” are about to get out of their dry spell at last, as Capcom prepares to launch the latest DLC fighter of the game’s second season in Ed – the mysterious blonde young man who was previously seen accompanying the boxer Balrog in the game’s story mode.
Now looking a lot muscular and sporting a Shadaloo outfit signifying his allegiance, the new fighter makes use of his mentor Balrog’s fighting style as well as sporting some “Psycho Power” used by longtime Street Fighter villain M. Bison himself.
According to Capcom’s official blog post, the game’s story describes Ed as a victim that was kidnapped at a young age and experimented on by S.I.N to serve as a replacement body for Bison.
Appearing in Street Fighter IV as a young boy, Ed reemerged in Street Fighter V alongside Balrog, but due to the experiments his body ages at an accelerated rate to put him at the peak of physical perfection for combat.
Using a fighting style that requires more of holding and pressing buttons than command inputs than traditional direct inputs.
With the exception of his Critical Art, that makes him quite a unique character to play with, and his V-Skill and V-Trigger abilities, combining boxing with psycho power projectiles and abilities.
No doubt that those who enjoy playing Balrog and M. Bison will want to get a taste of ths character once he becomes available later this month for Street Fighter V.
