Working title for Godzilla sequel revealed
Warner Bros. and Legendary have been very busy bringing the biggest baddest monsters to the big screen, with the latter company shaping its “MonsterVerse” up with the release of 2014’s “Godzilla” and this year’s “Kong: Skull Island”—both of which are connected, and which set up the inevitable confrontation between the “King of the Monsters” and the “8th Wonder of the World”.
But before that monster match of the century happens in 2020, a Godzilla sequel is expected to happen and be released in 2018, and a few developments have been revealed including the casting of Stranger Things star Milly Bobby Brown in a key role for the film.
According to Comic Book.com, the working title for “Godzilla: King of the Monsters” is called “Fathom” based on a post on Production Weekly.
With the word closely associated with water, it’s a good bet it has something to do with the Big G's home or possibly a new threat that he will face in the sequel. It’s all speculation at this point, but it’s a good way to concentrate on another depth and element that Godzilla normally uses and dominates just as well as when he emerges to fight on land.
