Urien set to make ‘Street Fighter V’ debut
It’s been nearly three quarters of the year since Capcom dropped the latest installment of the Street Fighter franchise, and the game has been slowly gaining its momentum thanks to additional downloadable content and support from the fighting game community.
In addition to the 16 characters available at launch, several new DLC characters were slowly included to expand the roster, like Street Fighter icons Guile and Balrog, plus the return of Alex.
With five additional fighters including Ibuki and Juri purchasable, there’s one more character who has yet to make his debut, and that’s ‘Street Fighter III’ character Urien.
As the brother of ‘Street Fighter III’ boss Gill (with whom he shares similar moves), Urien is an imposing being who’s stature and power is only matched by his continued lust for power.
Now equippied with new abilities and features offered by Street Fighter V's gameplay style, Urien boasts a power V-Skill called “Metal Aura” which allows him to absorb hits as he does a shoulder tackle after his skin tone changes into purple. His V-Trigger is perhaps the most familiar move in his arsenal: the “Aegis Reflector” — a barrier that allows experts to do some powerful zoning moves.
Finally, his Critical Art/ Super is called “Dominate Crush” — something that will put the fear in the eyes of opponents who dare stand in his way.
No specific date has been given as to when Urien will be available, but expect it with the latest September update coming to Street Fighter V. — AT, GMA News
