'Heroes of the Storm' spotlights Li-Ming the Wizard in new video

Late last week, “Heroes of the Storm” unveiled two of the latest combatants whom we’ll soon be seeing in the Nexus: Xul the Necromancer from “Diablo II,” and Li-Ming the Wizard from “Diablo III.”

This week, Blizzard presents Li-Ming in more detail in her very own Hero Spotlight.

She is so good, she astounds herself. A prodigy of the magical arts, Li-Ming is a renegade Wizard hailing from Caldeum. She left her home in order to fulfill a prophecy – that she would one day be responsible for ending the reign of evil in Sanctuary. It’s this quest that eventually leads her to the Nexus.

“Heroes of the Storm” classifies Li-Ming as a Ranged Assassin. Both the video and GMA’s previous article discuss her capabilities in more detail, but it is worth reiterating that Li-Ming’s lethality stems from her Trait, Critical Mass. This resets her ability cool downs every time she kills an enemy, which means she can cast spells with alarming rapidity – provided she doesn’t run out of mana in the process, that is.

It’s also great to see that one of her most popular abilities, Disintegrate, looks as devastating in “Heroes of the Storm” as it does in “Diablo III.”

With the launch of the Spotlight video, fans are already expecting Li-Ming to be added to the roster of playable characters within one or two weeks. You know what that means – we can all expect this haughty Wizard to be wreaking havoc in the Nexus very soon. — TJD, GMA News
