‘Super Awesome RPG’ lets you adventure in Filipino

This January, Boomzap Entertainment will be launching “Super Awesome RPG,” an action-packed RPG for mobile devices.

A finalist at the ESGS Indie Arena 2015, “Super Awesome RPG” is a tactical RPG featuring colorful anime-inspired visuals and a fantasy world filled with monsters and treasures. Most intriguing of all is its unique combat system, which is simple yet highly addictive. It involves a battle board composed of randomly generated tokens. Each token can be flipped over to reveal a special ability, which in turn can be activated with a tap. Similar tokens can be chained together to execute more powerful versions of the moves, such as a sword thrust that instantaneously kills an enemy, or a toxic cloud that poisons everyone in the vicinity.

You start the game as either the Paladin, whose skill with the sword is second to none, or the Valkyrie, who wields powerful divine magic. As you progress through the story campaign, you’ll meet a third hero – the Mage, who is as fond of spellcasting as she is of a good, hard drink. Every hero plays differently, and there are numerous abilities to choose from, so you’ll find yourself experimenting with a huge diversity of playstyles.

“Super Awesome RPG” also boasts a customization system that allows you to apply cosmetic changes to your heroes. Furthermore, you can modify their ability pools and attributes by having them equip weapons and equipment. You acquire gear through crafting, or from chests or enemies. You can even collect pets that assist you in battle.
 

When not exploring the various realms, you can test your survival skills in the Awesome Arena, a mode that throws wave after wave of enemies at you. Alternatively, you can fight against other players in PvP, or alongside them in the arena.

Lastly, it’s worth mentioning that Singapore-based game studio Boomzap Entertainment has developers in many Southeast Asian countries such as Philippines. This is why “Super Awesome RPG” supports a variety of languages – including Filipino!
