By TIM G. VILLASOR
Watch out Philippine pop culture fans: one of the youngest talents and Hollywood prodigies of this generation is coming to Manila, as Arrow and Teen Wolf star Colton Haynes has been revealed as the latest guest for the inaugural Asia Pop Comic Con happening on September 17-20 at the World Trade Center!
Haynes teased his appearance first on his official Twitter page last August 19:

However, his appearance as a celebrity guest star wouldn’t be confirmed until the geek bloggers over at Reimaru Files broke the news on their official Facebook page, which was then confirmed by APCC themselves:

Haynes will be joining other celebrities and guest artists at the event—including fellow Hollywood star and actor Jason Momoa, who played Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones and who will appear as Aquaman in the DC Cinematic Universe and first in next year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Haynes is known for his time as a model and appearing in the MTV series Teen Wolf as Jackson Whittemore. However, his recent popularity is all thanks to his portrayal of Roy Harper/ Arsenal, the sidekick and partner of Oliver Queen/ Arrow in The CW’s hit superhero TV Series “Arrow”.
His evolution into a masked vigilante crimefighter would reach fruition on the show’s third season, where Haynes would don a red hooded costume and wield a bow, arrow, and set of close combat weapons befitting of his character’s namesake. Prior to the end of Season 3, Haynes’ left the show and the Roy Harper character retired the name of Arsenal, passing on the costume to his love interest and his mentor’s sister Thea Queen, played by co-star Willa Holland.
In addition to his TV acting career, Haynes has appeared in several music videos and films as a guest star and supporting member. In the My Chemical Romance music video “I Don’t Love You”, he appeared as the male love interest of the woman in white. He also had an uncredited cameo in the very first Transformers film by Michael Bay, but would make his first big splash onscreen in this year’s disaster action movie “San Andreas”, where he plays a supporting role alongside lead star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. — TJD, GMA News
