Ghostbusters ECTO-1, proton pack get facelifts in time for movie reboot
ECTO-1, the iconic hearse-turned-hero car in the 1984 movie Ghostbusters, is getting a bit of a facelift in the upcoming reboot of the hit movie.
Director Paul Feig on Wednesday tweeted photos of the new ECTO-1, with square headlamps and a boxy body.

Tech site The Verge said this was the latest detail Feig provided about the upcoming movie.
It noted that the original ECTO-1 was based on a 1959 Cadillac Professional.
The new one, it said, "looks boxier than that original, losing the Cadillac's tail fins, but maintaining its side-mounted ladder and array of sirens and lights."
Also, it said the new ECTO-1 even has antennae "presumably for detecting ghosts to bust." — Joel Locsin/TJD, GMA News
