WATCH: Millennium Falcon gets drone treatment

We're not quite sure if this little machine can do the Kessel Run in 12 parsecs, but it certainly looks like it could: a hobbyist converted a drone copter into a spitting image of the Millennium Falcon.

 

PC World quoted hobbyist Olivier_C as saying he crafted the Falcon from a Prophecy 335 quadrocopter.

 

He replaced the engines and fitted them into a body made of carbon fiber and aluminum.

 

In a video of the ship's first flight last January, Olivier noted yaw control was "a bit random."

 

 

In the second flight earlier this month, the RC ship suffered a crash—but was, fortunately, able to survive the Hoth-like snow with nary a wampa scratch.
