WATCH: 3D-printed Iron Man hand turns differently-abled kids into superheroes

This is one children's prosthetic hand that would make the wearers proud.

Designer-animator Pat Starace 3D-printed the prosthetic to look like the cool gauntlet of Iron Man.

"How can we help a child that faces everyday challenges with a disability? My answer is to give them the most awesome prosthetic hand, and raise their self esteem to Super Hero Levels," he said in a YouTube video.

Starace said he wanted the prosthetic to "look awesome" and "perform awesome," while hiding the strings and mechanics, "so nothing distracts from the magic."

Also, he told tech site Mashable the prosthetic could support technology like wireless devices, smartwatches, sensors, and even NFC technology.

Starace plans to give the Iron Man prosthetic to families for free.

Mashable said the hand has Bluetooth connectivity, a battery, USB charger and Arduino technology.

"By tilting one's hand back, the user activate 'thrusters,' which are actually LED light displays," Mashable said. — Joel Locsin/TJD, GMA News
