Apple releases iOS 8.0.2 to fix flawed update
Apple on Friday morning (PHL time) released a fix for a flawed update to its new iOS mobile operating system that effectively bricked new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.
iPhone users were notified that iOS 8.0.2 was available as a 64.7-megabyte download.
"The new release includes all of the HealthKit and keyboard fixes, among others, as well as the ability to actually make phone calls and connect to a cellular data network," enthusiast site 9to5mac.com said.
Earlier, Apple had said the update was due “in a few days” and had initially advised affected users to revert their devices to iOS 8.0.
As of Friday morning, the new update appeared to be rolling out. — Joel Locsin /LBG, GMA News
