Adobe Photoshop for Microsoft Surface in the works?

This could be a tempting reason for photo enthusiasts to switch to Microsoft's Surface tablet - a touch-optimized version of Adobe's Photoshop CC software.

Adobe vice president of experience design Michael Gough showed off Photoshop CC in action on Microsoft's Surface Pro 3, tech site Mashable reported.

"You can pinch and zoom and pan using your fingers. Users can also rotate images and objects, using the same rotation gestures that are common in iPad apps," Mashable said.

While earlier versions of Photoshop CC worked on touch devices like the Surface 1 and 2, they were limited to the pressure sensitivity for the pen accessory.

Also, the icons are 200 percent larger, making it easier to work with a high-resolution device.

On the other hand, Adobe has not mentioned when the latest Photoshop CC will be released.

Still, Microsoft won't be the first to offer a Photoshop optimized for touchscreen, as Adobe already rolled out Photoshop Touch for Android and iPads. — Joel Locsin/TJD, GMA News
