Transformers' ancient origins tackled in new book
Hardcore Transformers fans, start saving your $99 (about P4,168) in time for December.
An upcoming book on the Transformers franchise, "Transformers: The Covenant of Primus," is set for release in December, book seller Becker&Mayer said.
"For the first time, it reveals the stories of the Thirteen Primes, the original Transformers. The narrative will also cover the golden age of Transformer civilization, the war between Optimus Prime and Megatron, and finally the present day on Earth," it said.
Even better for Transformers fans, it said the book has 60 "never-before-seen illustrations" including 20 commissioned just for this book, to "bring these epic events to life."
But wait, there's more: the hardcover book has a custom case shaped like the Autobot insignia, which when pulled open will trigger the classic mechanical “transforming” sound.
Transformers World (TFW) quoted blogger Paul Nicholasi as saying, "The Covenant of Primus is a "gift to the humans from Alpha Trion, one of the ancient Thirteen Primes - the first Transformers."
In a blog post, Nicholasi said the book contains "insights into Optimus Prime and Megatron and covers the full history of the Transformers, from new information about their origins, to the Golden Age of exploration, to the great civil war between Autobots and Decepticons."
He also posted photos of some of the book's inner pages, including the stunning artwork:

The first Transformers TV series, aired in 1984, was set in the latter part of the Autobot-Decepticon war as it spread to modern-day—or at least 1980's—Earth.
But fans of the franchise over the years have been trying to fill in some blanks about the Transformers' origins.
Now, TFW said the book "Transformers: The Covenant Of Primus" promises to be the "definitive in-world history of the Transformers."
TFW also hinted at "some major surprises" including Quintus Prime that were previously unrevealed, and the progenitor of The Quintessons.
