Google welcomes Chinese New Year with snake game doodle

What better way to welcome the Year of the Snake than with a snake-based game? That's what Google did Saturday: feature an interactive doodle welcoming the Chinese New Year.

Visitors to Google's homepage (www.google.com) were greeted with what at first appears to be an animation of a snake forming the letter G. A gold token then drops down, inviting the user to click on it. Once the user does, it starts the game. The game is patterned after the "Snake" game in mobile phones: move around the screen to consume the goodies but avoid the explosives. Visitors who play the game and click on the magnifying glass icon afterwards will then be taken to a Google Search Results page for Chinese New Year. — LBG, GMA News
