Free PlayStation games to land in some HTC phones
Here's good news for gaming addicts with certain models of HTC smartphones: you can download PlayStation Mobile games from Sony for free, though for a limited time only.
In a blog post, Taiwan-based HTC said the PlayStation game promotion started Jan. 30 and applies to HTC Sense 4+ in select countries.
"(C)ustomers in select countries using an HTC smartphone with Sense 4+ have the opportunity to download one free game per week through the end of February," it said.
It said owners of HTC phones covered by the promo can go to the PlayStation Mobile download hub and get the PlayStation Mobile for Android App.
The first free game is “Cubixx,” A reinvention of the classic action-puzzle game Qix.
PlayStation Mobile is currently available for HTC owners running Sense 4+ in Japan, United States, United Kingdom, Canada, France, Italy, Germany, Spain and Australia.
A separate article from Taiwan's Central News Agency said HTC became the first non-Sony vendor to support the PlayStation Certificate program in June 2012.
It said the program now includes only a few handset brands such as Sony Mobile Communications AB, Sharp Corp. of Japan and HTC.
The HTC models that support PlayStation are One V, One S, One X, One XL, One EVO 4G LTE and One X+, CNA said, citing information from the PlayStation Mobile website. — TJD, GMA News
