Sony introduces summer product lineup


Electronics giant Sony launched on Tuesday its latest consumer devices aimed squarely at vacationers and summer shoppers. Vacation snapshots
 
Sony's digital imaging products include the capability to capture 360-degree panoramic photographs.
 
The company's Cybershot S500, TX20, and W Series cameras are general-purpose devices, but the W Series and the S500 allow users take in the scenery with their 360-degree Sweep Panorama function.
 
The W series and S500's Intelligent Auto (iAuto) mode can recognize up to 33 scene settings for great automatic results.
 
But for those who want to capture finer details, the HX20V has a High Zoom feature to magnify items up to 30X zoom. The HX20V also comes with a new GPS log recording function, which lets users to track and log location details of photos captured away from home.
 
On the other hand, the rugged Cybershot TX20 is tough enough to take swimming at the seashore. Its touted "4-proof" design ("Water-, dust-, temperature- and shock-proof") can shoot under a variety of conditions—under the sun, along dirt roads and even underwater.
 
Movies, music, and more
 
Those who want to create home movies out of their holiday escapades may bring the world’s smallest and lightest 3D Handycam with them: the Sony HDR TD20. The device has a unique projector feature that allows one to share videos with everyone instantly - bringing events like a hike up Mt. Pulag to life-like clarity
 
Alpha a57
 
Sony also highlighted the Alpha A57 camera, which can capture 12 frames per second on full-time continuous autofocus. It also comes with AutoPortrait Framing and Clear Image Zoom features, with Auto Portrait Framing another world’s first from Sony.
 
With it, users can compose scenes like a professional photographer by proposing alternative compositions.
 
Meanwhile, Clear Image Zoom analyzes each pixel in an image and processes them to help highlight distant details.
 
On the road
 
While on the road, one can use Sony’s legendary Walkman Z series, with Sony’s innovative sound technologies and powered by Google's Android OS.
 
It can also share content at home and on the move wirelessly via Wi-Fi and connects to other DLNA-enabled devices.
 
Also, its unique ergonomic design allows its xLOUD™ speaker system to offer clear sound reproduction from the built-in speaker. — TJD, GMA News
