LPA develops into tropical depression named Enteng

The low pressure area (LPA) located east of Eastern Visayas developed into a tropical depression which was named Enteng, PAGASA said on Sunday morning.

"At 8:00 AM today, the Low Pressure Area east of Eastern Visayas developed into Tropical Depression #EntengPH," the weather bureau said.

Tropical cyclone bulletins will be issued starting at 11 a.m., PAGASA added.

At 3 a.m. on Sunday, the LPA was estimated to be located at 175 km east northeast of Guiuan, Eastern Samar or 205 km East of Borongan City, Eastern Samar.

PAGASA earlier said heavy to intense rains may be expected over Masbate, Sorsogon, Northern Samar, Samar, Eastern Samar, and Biliran on Sunday.

"Panglimang bagyo for this year po," PAGASA weather specialist Veronica Torres said in an interview on Super Radyo dzBB.
