Christmas tree-like cluster of stars spotted in outer space

On Christmas Day, the National Aeronautics and Space Agency (NASA) spotted a giant cluster of stars shaped like a Christmas tree in outer space.

According to a report on Unang Balita, the Christmas tree-like cluster of stars is called NGC2264 or Christmas Tree Cluster with a distance of 2,500 light-years from Earth.

This Christmas Tree Cluster is a group of young stars in the Milky Way Galaxy with ages from 1 to 5 million years old, with some of them already larger than the sun.

In the enhanced image of the cosmic Christmas tree, NASA said white and blue twinkling lights are x-rays emitted by the stars, while the the green light comes from the gas particles of the stars.

Spot on, isn't it?
