Partial lunar eclipse seen in PH

A partial lunar eclipse was witnessed by some early risers in the Philippines before dawn on Sunday.

The eclipse lasted one hour and 19 minutes, with the maximum eclipse occurring at 4:14 a.m., PAGASA said.

John Michael Casuco Tila-on of Burauen, Leyte posted some photos of the eclipse which were taken using a cellphone and a telescope.

Meanwhile, in San Pedro, Laguna, Jhon Crisnel Alcantara was able to capture photos of the eclipse using a cellphone and a monocular.

PAGASA said the October 29 partial lunar eclipse was visible not just in Manila and other parts of the country, but also in any location where the moon is above the horizon, including Europe, most of Asia and Africa, eastern Americas, and Australia. —KG, GMA Integrated News
