Magnitude 5.1 earthquake recorded offshore Sarangani, Davao Occidental

A magnitude 5.1 earthquake was recorded offshore Balut Island in Sarangani, Davao Occidental on Sunday morning, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).
The earthquake, which was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 259 kilometers, occurred at 10:15 a.m.
It was originally reported to have a magnitude of 5.6, before PHIVOLCS downgraded it to a 5.1.
The epicenter was located at 02.98°N, 128.65°E - 447 km S 53° E of Balut Island.
